Yesterday we had a 6 hour long rehearsal (that's right SIX hours with only about a half hour break!!) intense! It was to get ready for the Expo this week. I think by the end my head was ready to explode from all the new words/languages!! I think Afrikaans is seriously the hardest to read out of all African languages! It's easier to just listen and make up my own spelling!!
I was pretty wiped after that rehearsal so I just went home to bed and did nothing exciting! haha...
This morning Mrs.Venter and I took a little stroll down by the ocean. They have a beautiful walkway that must go on for the span of the whole town! It's so pretty there. It's a little chillier this morning though, although that means good things apparently for when we go to Windhoek. (If it's cold here it's warm there and vice versa)
We went out for lunch to the Hotel Iropa (sp?) It was very yummy and it seems like probably one of the more expensive places to eat at. (Even though it still was only about $20 cnd for the both of us)
Lex is taking one of the kids from her class to a movie this afternoon. (The student won it doing some math contest or something...) Lex invited me to go but unfortuately I don't know how to find my way everywhere yet so I just gave up and came to the internet cafe instead. (Everyone I asked on the street had no idea where I was talking about!) oh well...next time...
This is from Mrs.Venter's garden! pretty!!

I know where that theatre is! It's on the street that is just for pedestrians. There's a pub across the street where many kokos hung out on our last tour there.
The concerts yesterday were amazing - Grandmother Moon was incredible. Some of the best performances of the year in my opinion. YAY!! Now 2 recordings, next weekend's concert and the banquet. I can't believe things are winding down for the choirs... (except for tour - it's winding up!)
Hey Jen - can you check into a few things for us? We are wondering if we could borrow a couple of djembes from Mascato for our tour so that we don't have to bring our own. We also need to find a bass player for Sanctuary (and maybe a kit drummer). Is there a keyboard we can rent (and amp) as well for Civ? Finally we are looking for a display board that we can borrow for the duration of the tour. Could you look into these things for us. I feel bad asking Mrs. Venter because she is so busy!
Missed you at the concert yesterday - but you would have been very proud. The Sop 1s have really been amazing me with a super strong sound despite missing you!
LOVE YOU!!! Scott
